Floors need to look good.  Carpets make them appealing and attractive. They add beauty to the home. Everybody has his or her own choice in selecting a carpet.  Some prefer a modern one; others prefer perhaps an oriental one. Whatever the choice maybe, they should add glamor to the house and make it look cozy and warm.

A large variety of carpeting is available in present times and these carpets are available in several materials, textures, designs, colors and of course prices. They are found under different and exclusive banners as well as in local brands. A carpet is a long time investment.  One should go in for one, which is durable and can withstand wear and tear.

Home is a place to rest and relax. The surroundings should be elegant. Carpets add to the glamour galore.  The entire floor can be covered, which is known as wall-to-wall carpeting; or perhaps a smaller version of it can be placed on the floor.

Rugs and carpets are available in natural fibers such as wool, sisal, seagrass, coir, jute or even leather. One can choose from synthetics such as polyester, acrylic, nylon, and polypropylene, which are normally blended with wool. They are durable and easy to clean. Oriental rugs and kilims from Nepal, Pakistan, China, Turkey and neighboring Morocco are some well-known carpets.

Installation requires professional expertise and there are specialized agencies to carry out this task. If one is has a tight budget to operate upon, then one can go in for independent services, but one should check out on their credentials, experience and maintenance services post- installation.

Proper installation of a carpet will ensure long-term use without any maintenance costs and other hassles. It is better to spend on installation rather than on refitting at a later stage.

Spend time in making enquiries before purchasing a carpet.  Be sure you have the right one from the right retail store. It is a heavy investment and one should be careful in selecting one.
