If you have wood flooring and don’t know how to take care of them, here is a list of do’s and don’ts. Keep this in mind and your flooring will become the talk of the town.
Do’s
- Never use acids to wash wood flooring, instead use a detergent, which is meant to clean wooden floors only.
- Wipe off stains immediately with a damp cloth
- If you are having lots off guests at home, it would be best if you covered the floor with a rug or a carpet.
- Vacuum clean the flooring everyday.
Don’t’s
- Never drag furniture on the wooden flooring; scratch marks may form on the floor, damaging the look.
- Do not allow lot of sunlight to fall on the flooring, as it tends to damage the finish. Hang drapes over your windows as it prevents the rays of the scorching sun from entering your house.
- Do not rub a stain vigorously there are chances of you damaging the flooring.
- Never pour water over your flooring .It tends to wash away the finish of the flooring.
