Tips On Keeping Your House Free From Ants

Ants are an indiscriminating visitor, of every household. They spare no house and are found in every kitchen.

Home Remedies for Carpenter Ants or Any Other Ants
If you want carpenter ants or any other ants stop ransacking your house, here are some tips that you may find very useful

1) Boric Acid: It is one of the effective home remedies for carpenter ants. Ants have exoskeletons, and boric acid when sprinkled on carpenter ants or any ants tends to dissolve their skeleton framework and kill them. Sprinkle some boric acid on the place where ants frequent the most and just make sure that they cross over it. The ants do not have to eat them though; an external touch of the powder is enough to kill the ant.

2) Laurel Leaves: Place laurel leaves in places that the ant is more likely to visit. They act as a good repellant.

3) Citrus Peels and Water: A natural repellant of citrus peels and water when grinded together proves to be a good repellant.

4) Hot Water: One of the other effective home remedies is drenching the ants by pouring gallons of water in the anthills.

5) Dried Peppermint and Red Chilli Powder: Sprinkling dried peppermint and red chilli powder over cracks where ants are most likely to enter will prevent them from stepping out of the holes.

6) Black Pepper:Sprinkling black pepper on areas where ants are most likely to meet will cause them to scatter away.

7) Vinegar: Ants tend to follow the trail of their fellow ants in search of food. Vinegar has a chemical that tends to alter the ants scent, therefore preventing ants from visiting your kitchen.

8) Chalk White: Just draw a line using a plain white chalk; surprisingly ants don’t cross over chalk lines. Try it out and see for yourself.

9) Cloves: Place white cloves near crevices, cracks, doors, windows and all the places ants frequent. You will not find them any where close to your kitchen.

10)  Cayenne Pepper: Even sprinkling a line of cayenne pepper helps keep the ants away.

All the above ways will help keep your kitchen free from ants.
