Is your computer accumulating lot of dust everyday? Is every key on the keyboard loaded up with dust? And has typing become a painful task.

Well, every owner of a personal computer goes through the above-mentioned issues.
Not just the furniture but also the computer needs to be kept dust free.

Unlike other devices, a computer should be dusted in a careful manner and with lot of precaution.

Dusty Keyboards and Screen: If the plastic case that covers the keyboard and the CPU is very dusty, zip them out and wipe them clean. You can use the vacuum cleaner to pull out the dust from the keyboard.

Another very efficient way of cleaning the keyboard is by using compressed air. It is pressurized air filled in a can and sprayed on the keyboard through a long nozzle. The force of the air pushes out any kind of dust particles stuck between the keys.

If anything has been spilt on the keyboard, switch of the computer immediately and turn the keyboard upside down and force the liquid out. Leave the keyboard overnight and let it dry. In spite of this effort if the keyboard does not continue to function, seek professional help.

It is also important to disinfect the keyboard if there are several users. Wet a cloth with some disinfectant or alcohol and rub over the keys.

Mouse: Cleaning the mouse pads with a damp cloth will help improve the movement of the mouse. For the mouse to work efficiently it is important to keep it clean, use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to keep the “hard to reach surfaces” clean. Open up the mouse, and clean out the dust under the rollers using a cotton swab.

Speakers and CPU: If a layer of dust has coated your CPU and speakers, wipe them out with the help of a damp cloth.

Other Tips

Regular cleaning will prevent accumulation of dust on the system.

Switch off the computer before you clean it.

Do not vacuum the internal parts, leave them to a professional.

Keep these points in mind and have a clean and dust free computer.
