Create A Garden In A Tight Budget

Read on and try some of these ideas to get a beautiful cost effective garden of your own:

  • Soil: This is something you cannot do without. It is wise to get it right from the beginning but that does not mean you have to spend a lot on it. Instead of using costly fertilizers on it what you can do is use biodegradable stuff like egg shells, fruits peelings to enhance its richness.
  • Pots: A garden looks good with beautiful plants not pots. Use any containers that can hold soil and plant in it. If you are good in painting, you can make some really cool patterns on it.
  • Use Seeds: This will take some time but it is inexpensive and will teach how to take care of plants better. Use plants that reseed (like sunflower and alyssum) so that next time you don’t have to look for the seed elsewhere.
  • Save Water: Your plants cannot do without water. Now what you can do regarding this is — place a lining of newspaper before you put soil as that will help to hold the water for a longer time.
  • Collect Pebbles: Save the pebbles that you get from digging so that you can later use it for beautification.
  • For Supporting Plants: Use old pantyhose to support big plants.
  • Buy Seeds Off Season: When you buy seeds try to do it in the off season so that the prices remain low.

Have a nice time gardening!
